The American School of Barcelona has started the school year with renovated facilities

This summer we have carried out the 2nd phase of the interior renovation of the main building of the American School of Barcelona. We have acted on 1532m2 distributed across 4 floors. The reform has consisted of demolishing interior partitions, making new interior distribution with the adaptation of existing walls and new partition walls with Fermacell plates and screens in office areas, adaptation of existing false ceilings and execution of false acoustic ceilings in common spaces, change of installations and new coverings, on walls and vinyl and carpet floors. Aluminium carpentry has also been changed, silent glass has been installed in the walls between corridors and classrooms and phenolic screens have been placed in the bathrooms. The project has been designed by Ferran Besa and Roger Mercadé, from the studio Arq71, and it has been led by Carlos Lara as project manager, Pere Farín as production manager and Rafa Pérez as foreman.
