Barcelona is trendy and the demand for housing in the city has increased in recent years. At the same time, many traditional businesses close due to falling sales or rising rents. This leads some owners to consider converting commercial premises into homes, because they know that it will be easier to sell or rent. This is what has happened in the last reform project that we have completed in Barcelona, in which we have transformed some 83m2 commercial premises on Carrer Vallirana into a beautiful ground floor apartment, which also has a 25m2 patio. The predominant material is wood, which provides warmth and style, and in terms of colours, the light colours of the pavement and most spaces contrast with the dark colour in kitchen cabinets and some walls. The project has been designed by the architect Elisabeth Mas from the studio Mil·limetre and it has been led by José Antonio Hernández as project manager and José Luis Felices as foreman.
