Early on Sunday to Monday, February 6th, an intense earthquake of magnitude 7,4 on the Richter scale shook Turkey with an epicenter in Kahramanmaras, in the south of the country. The tremor also affected Syria, and days later, affershocks continue to be recorded that have affected other countries such as Lebanon and Iraq and are complicating rescue efforts, as well as the winter storm. The earthquake has caused a humanitarian catastrophe with more than 16.000 dead.
Maheco will be a collection point for both food and clothing and other goods (non-perishable food such as preserves, baby milk powder, diapers, cleaning and hygiene materials, portable batteries for mobile phones, warm clothes, tents, blankets, thermos, flashlights, etc.).
