We have completed the construction of the new outdoor sports court on the school building “M” at The American School of Barcelona. The aim of this project was to create a new outdoor space on the building’s rooftop for sports activities, providing the school with modern and safe facilities that expand usage possibilities throughout the school day.
The work carried out included the demolition of the existing roof to install an acoustic membrane, improving the sound insulation of the classrooms on the lower floors, and the installation of the different roof layers with a high-performance resin sports flooring as the final finish. To enhance safety on the rooftop, a protective net was installed to enclose the area. Additionally, a shaded area has been created using a pergola, allowing it to be used as an outdoor classroom.
