Muntaner Street is one of Barcelona’s most emblematic avenues, where historic buildings coexist with residential homes and commercial premises. The recent restoration of the facade of the building located at 155 Muntaner Street, carried out by Maheco, represents an important step towards the conservation of architectural heritage and the recovery of the building’s original appearance.
In historic buildings like this one, the goal is not only to repair, but to faithfully restore the original materials and finishes, respecting the traditional construction systems used at the time of its original construction.
Work carried out

- Application of three-layer lime stucco, as originally used in the construction of the building:Base coat, intermediate coat and finish coat.
All layers were pre-colored according to the tone established by the Barcelona City Council.
-Comprehensive restoration of stone elements, including:Balcony stonework snf stone slabs and structures
-Sanding and painting of the wrought iron railings, restoring their original appearance and protecting them against corrosion.
