Thermal Comfort in Homes: A Necessity for Well-Being and Health

Today, thermal comfort has become a fundamental aspect of housing, as it directly influences people’s health, well-being, and quality of life.

This concept refers to the feeling of comfort experienced by residents when temperature, humidity, and air circulation create a pleasant environment, without sensations of excessive cold or heat.

Thermal comfort does not depend solely on indoor temperature, but also on factors such as wall and window insulation, home orientation, environmental humidity, and ventilation.

Various studies suggest that a temperature close to 20°C during winter and around 25°C during summer can provide suitable conditions for residents’ well-being. Maintaining these levels helps prevent problems related to excessive heat or cold and promotes a healthier indoor environment.

At Maheco, this concept is part of the construction of homes designed to provide comfort and efficiency for their residents. We develop projects that incorporate solutions focused on thermal comfort through suitable materials, efficient construction systems, and designs created to provide more comfortable and sustainable living spaces.

Thermal comfort is no longer considered a luxury; it is now seen as an essential requirement for building more efficient, sustainable homes that support people’s well-being.
